Taking two foodies to Jungle Jim's for the first time is sort of like watching two cats in a room full of laser pointers. Protip: schedule a full day for shenanigans like that.
Also, driving from Lexington to Louisville to Cincinnati to Louisville to Lexington is a little brutal. But worth it. Even if someone did feel the need to bring back 1.3 bushels of kale...

Date: 2011-01-23 02:53 pm (UTC)And the kale is still going strong! There has been more than green smoothies though. There's also been colcannon, potato kale soup and sweet potato kale quesadillas. Winter is the season of greens and root vegetables you know.
And, ok, lots of green smoothies. :D

Date: 2011-01-23 04:29 pm (UTC)And I'm glad you liked the soup! It wasn't hard at all. Bouillon broth, chopped potatoes, carrots and onions. Likely some garlic. Steamed kale. To be really authentic and carnivorous throw in some sort of Italian sausage. Soup!
